Bilberry is the European cousin to the blueberry and has been used historically for medicinal purposes and as food due to its high nutritive value. In Europe, bilberry extracts are now part of conventional medicinal treatment of eyes. Studies show that bilberry improves eye function, especially night-time visual acuity.* This safe herb also has a beneficial effect on the circulatory system.
