Chitosan is a dietary fiber derived from chitin, a polysaccharide derived from the shells of crustaceans. Chitosan does not contain any appreciable amounts of toxic minerals such as mercury, which have been found in the meaty portions of certain shellfish. Like other fibers, Chitosan tends to increase stool bulk and hydration, and acts as a catalyst for colonic microflora, all of which helps support normal transit time.
Suggested Use As a dietary supplement take 2 capsules with 8 ounces of water thirty to forty minutes prior to one or two meals per day - Or as directed by your healthcare professional.
